Apesar de não ser dos livros mais longos do King, senti que a história se desenvolveu de forma lenta, se tornando até um pouco repetitiva em alguns momentos, o que me fez questionar várias vezes para onde aquilo estava indo. A história basicamente começa de uma forma e termina de outra, a trama vai nos levando por um caminho inesperado, mas admito que fiquei meio entediada ali no meio às vezes. Um homem bem na sua, apesar do seu \"trabalho\", vamos desvendando cada vez mais sua personalidade ao longo do livro, com flashbacks do seu passado em formato do livro que ele está escrevendo. A escrita do King, apesar de lenta e repetitiva em alguns momentos aqui, ainda consegue me cativar e me prender na maioria das vezes.
